The Alliance supports Indiana Ys through networking, providing opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, and encouraging ongoing professional development of Y professionals and volunteers. 

In the area of professional development, the Alliance has partnered with Shafer Leadership Academy to provide membership for staff to access dozens of professional development opportunities at no cost.  We provide at least two conferences annually geared toward leadership and professional development for all YMCA staff and volunteers. 

The Alliance has also worked to create COVID-19 safety training for YMCA staff as part of a funding opportunities through Lilly Endowment's Youth Program Resilience Fund. 

Lastly, the Alliance provides many opportunities for board development, through trainings/cohorts specifically targeted for board governance and Chief Volunteer Officers. We have also designed education modules specifically to help YMCA boards lead their Y to success.
