As the Alliance works to strengthen INYaG and enhance delegates’ experiences, it makes sense to engage community partners who can support the program in various ways. Through corporate sponsorship and in-kind support, partnerships are invaluable in supporting the development of our state’s future leaders. Resources secured through partnerships will be used to support and sustain the program and its annual statewide Model Government Conference. It is our hope that your organization would consider joining us on this incredible journey through formal support. If you or an organization you represent are interested in financially supporting INYaG, please contact the Alliance at 317.715.2145 or brent@indianaymcas.org.
Legislator Support
Collapsible
Since 1965, Youth and Government has provided an opportunity for students to write and introduce bills, learn the committee process, and participate in legislative debate. Each year, young people from throughout the state will fill the House and Senate Chambers. We are asking every member of the legislature to support opportunities for youth to participate in this program. The support will help the YMCA offer scholarships to students who are in need to attend the program. The youth who attend will be able to learn the legislative process “hands on.” This is a great investment in helping Hoosier students understand the political process.
State legislators may choose to support this program with a contribution from their campaign committee accounts, as contributions can be made to community and charitable organizations. If you are a state legislator who is interested in sponsoring a delegate to your seat, please contact the INYaG State Director at brent@indianaymcas.org or (317) 751-2141.
Volunteer
Collapsible
Are you interested in serving youth as a volunteer for Indiana YMCA Youth and Government? The INYaG Model Government Conference (MGC) provides three days of volunteer opportunities. While the conference is led by teens elected to office by their fellow delegates, volunteers help to ensure the program’s success by providing services that are key to the conference operation.
